Sarah Lane Schoenbrun, MD

Sarah Schoenbrun is an internist practicing primary care at UCLA Health in Santa Monica. Dr. Schoenbrun received her undergraduate degree at Brown University in Human Biology and Religious Studies. She earned a Master of Fine Arts at the University of Arizona in Tucson. She completed her medical degree at the University of Washington in Seattle and trained as a resident in Internal Medicine at UCLA.

Her clinical interests include preventative care, women’s health, HIV prevention via PrEP/PEP and LGBTQ health with a focus on primary care for lesbian, bisexual and queer-identified women. She finds meaning in the practice of narrative medicine—understanding each patient’s unique story and perspective—in order to provide compassionate and quality medical care. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and sees adult patients.

In addition to her clinical interests, Dr. Schoenbrun serves as a Clinical Instructor and Educator for Excellence with the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She teaches clinical skills including patient interviewing, effective communication, health equity topics and the physical exam to first-year medical students.
